Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s Metro Montage XXI Exhibition

“Metro Montage” is the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art’s annual juried exhibition featuring all types of genre, medium, style, subject matter, concept, and technique in art. “Metro Montage XXI” will feature, throughout all of the Museum’s galleries, works of fine art by contemporary artists that showcase the diversity and skill within our nation’s culture.

The Art of New York: Annual Juried Art Show at Arkell Museum

The Art of New York: Annual Juried Art Show will open on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Regional Art Galleries of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library. Juror Corey Pitkin, local, national, and international competition winner and painting instructor, selected twenty-nine artists from across New York State for the show. Represented are wood-fired stoneware, black and white infrared photography, and encaustic, oil, acrylic, and pastel paintings. The show is sponsored by Blick Art Materials and Golden Artist Colors, Inc. and is free to the public.

The show opens on Friday, May 14 and ends on Wednesday, July 21, 2021

Watercolor USA 2021 at the Springfield Art Museum

This is the 60th exhibition of Watercolor USA, a national, annual juried exhibition recognizing aqueous media painting. The event is open to artists from all 50 states and US territories and judged for a variety of prizes and possible purchase by the Museum. This year’s exhibition will be judged by Nick Nelson, Director of the Springfield Art Museum.

Adrift is a national juried exhibition featuring 36 artists from 10 states, juried by Steffi Chappell, assistant curator at the Everson Museum of Art. The themes of artwork included in the exhibition address the notion of complete freedom and/or being completely lost. In addition to the in-person exhibition, a virtual interactive version of the exhibition is available for online viewing at interactive.mainstreeartscs.org.
